Bad Alignment from Factory??

dont forget about road crown though, if you want to do the ultimate test find an empty road get in the left lane, let go of the wheel when you are tracking straight, if you pull right you have a problem for shure. becaue most roads have "crown" on them meaning each side is alglesd down for rain runoff etc... good luckl!

I havent seen any new cars in quite awhile that did have a proper alignment, Evo or not. I have seen brand new Chevy trucks with the eccentric cams totally loose.
One other thing to keep in mind is how the Evo adjust camber from the factory. They have a 2 position cam bolt and a difference of .3* isnt uncommon side to side. They are strapped down on ONE side to cross the pacific and all it takes is repetitive motion to sag the springs.
Case in point is my car. From the factory the camber was .9*/.6* in the front and .35*/.06* toe in the front. Camber was uneven (higher camber will cause a push one way or the other) and the toe was WAY OFF. The rear was .8*/1.1* and the toe was off again .40*/.10.
Something was bent in the rear of my car before I got it. It had 9.3 miles on it and I had to nearly max the rear camber adjustment at stock height to correct camber. Now thats its lowered the only way to fix it was to take the LCA out and "tweak" it to pull it in. I am going to put Nagisa Auto LCA in it in spring but even the way it is the left side is MAXXED both toe and camber. Mitsubishi definitely has QC issues with alignments.

i have no issues with alignment...but when i bought my car the air pressures were jacked up to 45psi for some reason and the ride was bad...luckily i checked them and lowered them to factory specs and the ride is a whole lot better...i have noticed that it's hard to check the alignment because when you let go of the wheel the tires grip so good that any slight imperfection in the road will pull the car left or right

Thats why you take it some place with an alignment rack to have it checked. Letting go of the wheel doesnt mean the alignment is good just cause it doesnt pull. My camber wasnt off much, but the toe angle was off INCREDIBLY bad.

lol
My 03' chewed throught it Advans real fast, took it in and they said I put to many miles on the car to replace all 4 tires under warranty. They did the alignment for free, but would only pay fro one Advan and I could pick up the bill for the other three. ***** that, I threw on some Azenis and called it a day.

I have a new IX with about 1800 miles on it, recently had Just Tires take a look at it since it was close to home. The rears look new but the fronts seem to be uniformly toasting down fast! I had same issue with a slight pull to the right and notice the crown of the road seem to have the most influence. They found the toe was off slightly on one wheel on each axle bringing them back in to spect. I hope that helps but the winters are going on soon anyway.

the 06's in australia pull to the left slightly
something to do with the castor setting vs our road specification out here
also dont forget all 4WDs will pull their wheel with the road bumps etc. this is normal! this is seperate to bump steer i mean. also the tyres have a big impact. slicks will pull heaps due to the additional grip. Also my IX alignment from factory was fine, but new cars are rarely fine alignment wise. i had mine checked the next day after buying it!
ive had some slight issues with the alignment moving around a bit between alignments, since i got the tein coilovers, i think the extra harshness causes the toe etc to move around like .1-.2mm etc between alignments, seems normal, everythings tight and performing very very well!

I do my own alignment and when my '03 Evo came home the first thing I did after looking at the wide tires was check alignment. It was perfect. Then I hit a deep pothole with the driver's front. So, I got out the alignment tools and checked again. Still perfect. This second experience made a big impression on me. The front suspension is strong.
