Glad no one got hurt. Good luck with you getting a new Evo.

On another note, my insurance agent told me it's better to hit the damn deer than swerve and avoid the collision. At least if I hit the deer, they can't say I was just driving wrecklessly and blame it on a deer.

^ thats only if swerving means completely losing control. I would swerve if I think its posible to avoid any damage to the car.

Too bad about the Evo...but at least you're alive to drive another one.

If you have any mechanical knowledge and could part it yourself it could be worth it if the buyback is low enough....but if you cant take it apart yourself then just forget it

Almost got kill by one when I hit it with my motorcycle a few years ago.
How do these things know just when to jump right in front of cars and bikes .

Apparently there weren't that many cliffs for lemmings so they evolved into deer and cars with headlights...

Seriously though one does have to wonder why an animal would choose the moment to run into the street. Perhaps its the noise of the vehicle and they bolt. If that was the case an ultra aggressive TBE would solve the problem but i sincerely doubt it will help

i want the intake box cover

and at least if you hit the deer it wouldnt be an at fault, my friend was an adjuster before and she said its an at fault if you swerve and hit something else.
