Just finished Defi blue racer boost gauge
Okay I've been doing lots of searching but no luck.
I hooked up all the wires to the recommended connections by the cigarette lighter and the red wire off of the head unit.
The gauge functions great, lights up fine, dims with the parking lights, does the opening ceremony...BUT it does NOT do a closing ceremony.
is this normal? or do i need to wire it up differently?
also, it does the opening ceremony on the ACC on position.
maybe the i tapped the incorrect wire behind the head unit?
[edit] the instructions say in the troubleshooting section that it is the wrong constant b+ power wire. (the wire thats supposed to be behind the head unit.
i'll repost if it still doesnt work right.

The blue racer DOES do a closing ceremony, you havent hooked the constant power up correctly.
There should be one connection that's straight to the battery for constant power, that's what you're missing.
I wired mine up last week with no problems but I hardwired everything behind the in-cabin fusebox.

you guys were right, i tapped the wrong wire. i should have used my test light before tapping the wrong wire. other threads said it was a red wire, when in fact the wire that I tapped into was yellow (although it was on my kenwood head unit harness hence the different color).

Maybe it doesn't do a closing ceremony because it wasn't designed to
