evo VIII vs evo IX
one of my friends just got an evo ix mr and i got a ride in it yesterday. i was so supprised because it didnt feel that fast, i truely think that my evo VIII is faster and all that i have is an exhaust. (he is stock). also i noticed that his car stock sounded way different than my car w/ stock exhaust. do you think something is wrong with his car that makes it sound different, or am i just imagining that my car is faster. i want to go down to the drag strip with him to truely see who is faster and from what i have read on the forums the evo ix's dominate the viii's but i dont know mine just felt faster, do you think i have a chance?

It's probably because you're used to your aftermarket exhaust note...I'm not too certain if MIVEC would change exhaust note...but they should sound same/identical
If your car was properly tuned with exhaust, then it should be more of a driver's race...if it wasn't tuned, then he should have an edge
