How do you know it wasn't knocking? Were you logging at the time?

he certainly could have been.

All one would need is say a rf400 or rf500 to log the last 90 minutes

What shop did your build? I see you have a lot of AMS parts why didn"t you go to them in the first place? Do you live far away from Chicago?

Hell I drove 10 1/2 hours to bring mine there.

Also Sean is a good tuner.

Why would any shop give you a car back with a misfire? And they tuned for 405 HP with a misfire?

Please post the name and location of this shop.

Well, my tuner said that the misfire was probably caused by my ignition set up since it was stock. However, he said that it would not hurt the car.. This shop has done a lot of cars, the owner has a high 700 hp eclipse. So..

Do you think it could be the added stress of downshifting from 3rd into 2nd?

Sounds like your shop doesnt know what there talking about !

what were you spraying with the alky kit? Methanol, water or a combo? Anything less than 10% methanol would freeze by 20F. Where is the alky kit located, and more importantly, the lines. Maybe you did freeze up a line/fitting or something that stopped the flow.

The alky kit was running 100% meth. The lines run under my seat, through the safe injection then tapped into the intake pipe. So, you guys think this is a tuner related issue? There is no possibility that there was just to much power, and my engine could not hold up to it? Because, the shop has been very helpful to me, and they have done a lot of high hp cars, but not I am kind of lost on what to do.

Yes, but do you think that my engine could have just not been as good as his out of the factory? I mean with the 4g63 i hear a lot of hit or misses, people usually have good luck with it or it blows...
