Do I make enough power to benefit from a FD upgrade???

I was looking at Team Rips website regarding final drive ratio upgrades.....

I was wondering if I'm at the power level to be able to benefit from the HKS 4.11 FD gear??

yea, EMS has built in safeguards, when Im spraying meth I'm running on the NOS maps, if there is no pressure from the aLKY pump then it switches back to the pump gas map... I think the V2 SMC controller has its own built in safeguard...

Thats a good question.... regarding boost levels on the pump gas map.

On the AEM I do have a boost cut set at 33 PSI.....in the event a boost controller fails or a wastegate spring gets stuck, if the boost spikes to 32-33 PSI, the AEM boost cut prevents the motor from popping...which I think is a nice safeguard in and of itself.

If the alky pump fails and what not, AEM switches to the pump gas map, and as far as boost goes, I'm sure the ECU will know what boost level is at anyway, and react accordingly, since I'm running an AEM MAP sensor which will measure boost anyway, and that works hand in hand with the ECU.

When I was tuned at TT the first time around this parameter (boost cut) was not even set....I went to a local AEM tuner near me who set this in place.

what we did the 2nd time around was lower my idle a bit, set boost cut, confirm that the 2-step was set-up properly....and make sure my maps were ok...

The thing I need to do next is probably raise my rev limiter from 7800 to 8000-8100 RPMs (which should help me out when i drag at the track), and make sure I have fuel/ignition maps to go there....

If you're shifting into 5th gear during 1/4 racing I could see a need for it...
