do all buschur DP fit all evos

i know some DP have the clearance issues with the ACD up front on the IX. someone stated that "all buschur DP will fit all evos." i see nothing on the buschur site about a difference in downpipes for an 8 and a 9. reason being is that i will soon have a full turboback system that came from an 8, and am wondering if ill need to get another DP or if the one that comes with it will fit my IX. its slip fit test pipe and catback so i hope that buschur at least makes a DP that will fit my IX with slip fit bottom end.

Check my sig...

Running Buschur 3" TBE on my IX - no problems with clearance or rattling. It comes with some spacers for the front tie bars - some cars need them, and some don't.

I made sure to specific to JROD I had a IX when I ordered, as I do with all my mods just in case!

No. The MR's require their own downpipe. Any downpipe that fits an VIII should fit a comparable IX (ex: VIII RS/GSR downpipe should fit on a IX RS/GSR, VIII MR downpipe should fit on a IX MR). The O2 outlet location on all 8/9 models is the same. The clearance issue is with the 6-speed transmission, not the center differential.

well i hope youre correct im about to make a deal on this exhaust. i guess if the DP wont fit or rattles ill have to hope that i can find from buschur somewhere a DP that will fit the IX, with the slip fit bottom end, because the test pipe is slip on both sides. worst comes to worse i think buschur makes a test pipe with flange on one side and slip on the other. thanks

I'm giving this thread a bump because I would like to know if my Buschur downpipe, that I bought a couple years ago shortly after I picked up my 03 Evo(sale pending), will fit my VIII MR or if I will have to pick up a different downpipe. Could someone from the Buschur camp please respond and shed some insight as to whether or not changes were made in the development of the downpipe once the acd was put in our cars in order for them to fit?

A picture would make a world of difference. Even if I am not from the Buschur camp

If it came from 03 or 04 evo it will not fit at all. I have been through this already cause I traded my 04 evo for an 06 evo & tried to put the one that came out of my 04 to the 06 & it does not fit at all. I had the full slip in version & had to sell it for $300.00 just to get rid of it. I have pm'd with David B. back & forth about this & even sent him the pics & he suggested that I just sell my old one & buy a new. I have asked him already if I buy the DP fir the IX if the rest of the exhaust will fit & he does not want to sell me the DP only & end up having the rest of the exhaust not to fit.

just get a tanabe dp and call it a day.
No fitment problems, rattles or what so ever.

BTW, they are a bit smaller in diameter (2.75inch) which should be plenty good for
an average evo.
