Evo = most expensive car to insure

according to this article:
http://www.bankrate.com/gookeyword/n...2.asp?caret=15
if it's a repost, please don't yell "OMFG rep0st0rzZZ!!!one!"

also read page 1 for a known fact of Evo being #2 favored car for thieves (does NOT mean that it's #2 most stolen, factor in all the vandalism and break-ins)

It is a repost but it makes since. You have to many kids or idiots that are buying it then going out and pushing it to far and totally the thing. It has gotten worse has the value of the 03's get lower and more people can afford it. Don't get me wrong some younger people are fine and don't have any accidents but it tends to be the people with less experince that should not be driving these cars to begin with that are driving up the insurance rates.

hmmm this is a good topic - does anyone added GAP insurance onto their cars upon purchasing it?.. survey says it will help significantly lower your insurance cost. If you also add a LOJACK system in your car which i believe can only be purchase from the dealership... that will also lower your premium... but naw.. i thought about getting a LOJACK system but that **** cost $$$ and you have to pay for it every month...but why get a LOJACK if you have full coverage... i pay $135 a month for full coverage thats including Life insurance on top of that... not so bad at all..

Luckily my insurance costs are VERY reasonable.

On another note this is to be expected from a unique performance car that attracts specific crowds and attention in general. Also the fact that most Evolution owners are on the younger side. With this comes less maturity and bigger risk taking. This creates a statistic on the car. My Evo used to cost 2/3 of what my RSX Type-S cost when I owned them together. Don't have that car anymore but I'd imagine it's much higher than the RSX now.

Hmmm, maybe because the people that tend to own them are 26 and younger there naturally going to be more expensive to insure?

Its so expensive to insure because so many 18 year old idiots are wrecking the things. Do a search for "wreck" or "crash" and see how many posts show up. If you don't have much experience driving a sports car, don't buy an Evo.

I agree with you guys - thats true.. as much as i wanna get an evo when it was first released back in 2003... i chose not to... A) got bigger better things to worry about ... B) i was broke....C) was a beginner level.. D) i was broke... E) couldn't afford it back then... lol!.. so yeah... dont buy an Evo unless you dont have enough experience driving sports car... 2nd de'motion!
