Im not fimilar wit the ultimate one but i believe theres are a recirc BOV kit. This kit is a VTA kit and relocates teh BOV to behind the battery. The black tube is use to re locate teh BOV to behind the battery. The kit provides teh plug to block the stock BOV location.

So it sounds pretty cool and loud when driving it? I'm more than likely going to get the HKS SSQV, but i've heard the Greddy Type-S, TurboXS RF-L and the BLITZ sounds extreemly good on the EVO. I just dont know which one...

So is there an advantage to relocating the BOV to behind the battery as opposed to just using a 2g DSM kit and keeping the BOV in the stock location?

I run the Ultimate Racing blow off valve kit. It's the HKS SSQBOV with their adapter piece. It is vent to air. The blow off valve on my car kinda sits above the air filter (I have a K&N cone).

An advantage of recirculating BOV in Evos is that you get little or no bog from rich conditions if the BOV is set up right. The downside is that when the BOV does vent back into the intake tube, the air inside there swirls (turbulence). I heard it's not good. I could be wrong.

Advantage of VTA BOVs is that all the air in the intake pipe comes out to atmosphere, and in theory, it'll keep the turbo spinning, which is better for shifts.

I had the HKS SS BOV on my turbo hatch for over a year and it never sounded like that. this BOV has a small and large valve. the sound comes when it flutters between the two valves. it sounds awesome and nothing like what you have in that vid.

maybe you have it too tight or something, but it doesn't sound right.
