Ok so the dealer here wants $6.00 for the oil filter and $ 65.00 for 5 quartz of oil and $10.00 for labor to do an oil change. This is way too much so I decided to just buy the oil filter and did it myself(I'm buying the oil from another place for $6 per quart) so anyways the Part # on the oil filter they gave me was MZ690116......is this the correct one for the IX? lol sorry but this is my first oil change on my IX.

 

that's the correct part number.

Having a dealer do your oil is crazy.
Plus, you know it will get done right the first time when you do it.

 

either one of mitsus filters work. One is just taller than the other but both work on evo8\9. Walmart I think has a good price on 5qt jug mobil1 for $24 and change.
