Instead of spending $60 with Butcher you could just spin the latch a full 360, latch the belt into the receptacle and pull tight on the shoulder side of the belt.

from what i've read, these things don't last forever. once, the one i buy from ExViTermini dies, i'll try your idea. i can't see why the price on these things would need to nearly double from a few years back. i am just stubborn and refuse to pay $60 LOL. i guess i'm getting old....

I just recline my seat tank the pulley then put my seat forward a little and holds just fine

Yep that's what I've been doing. Either that or yank it to lock it before buckling it.
