Help me with my fan.

Anybody familiar with the black fan in front of the radiator? I wasn't haven't this crazy noise that only comes every so often. It sounds like the fan is hitting something. I didn't know exactly where is was coming from until today. It is definitely around the fan and it sounds like plastic smacking something. It's kind of hard to see the whole fan due to the bumper. What should I do? What approach should I use to get to it, and does anything the fan motor is going bad? Please Help.

You know it spins slowly. But I am guessing once it goes faster it must be hitting something. How can I tell if the fan itself is messed up? I will have to try the bumper removal. Is it really that easy?

Thanks so much. I will attempt to take off the bumper and check it out with the next few hours. I will let you know how it goes. Thanks for the help.

keyonus, you are a mothafreaking genius. Thanks for your help. It was dead on the money. I am just waiting for a ride out to Autozone to get the nut now. Thanks again.
