Buschur Race Core = Keep Crash Bar!

To my suprise when my Buschur Race Core was installed I was able to retain my crash bar in full. No cutting or hacking was necessary. I was suprised to hear this since I know many people take theirs out or have to hack theirs up.

Thats cool. On my dsm I had to cut mine in half. Thats pretty nice that you dont have to hack it up. Did you have to cut your bumper? How much?

Are you sure?

Maybe you don't have the race FMIC. It will fit with some trimming.

I know I installed mine about a month ago.

I am sure I have the race core. The beam pushes on the FMIC slightly but there was no cutting necessary. Also the front bumper had some minor trimming but that was it.

I was suprised when Billet Design told me they got the crash bar back on.... Kinda sucks beause it doesn't let the top of the FMIC peak through the holes in the front bumper lol... But it is safer I guess.... That was one of the rason I was debating on which FMIC to get but now that the crash bar fits that is hardly a concern. The FMIC is just plain HUGE!

Yeah he is sure. I have installed 2 of them on local cars and they fit like a glove.

they probably do fit as I could have put mine back on. But there is rubbing on the top portion of the fmic which will wear into the fmic from the metal on metal contact and fibrations eventually.

It probably wont ever get to the point of creating a hole or anything, but therewill be noticable wear on the fmic from the crash bar...

That is more than likely true. I mean I tried to put the crash beam back on, and I would have had to push back on the FMIC to get it to fit.
