They are individual throttle bodies because theyre built separately, but putting the "plenum" on it defeats the purpose IMO, since its then a intake manifold with individual butterflies. It's still limited by whats in that plenum, opposed to the atmosphere.

I was just thinking that the e46 M3's come with ITB's and many people turbo them with ease

Also the Euro E36 M3's came with ITBs stock, which is why they make more power than the US cars - among other things -. Here is one.

Also seconding that the RB26DETT runs ITBs stock.

M3s are not easy to turbo...it takes a LOT of work and its expensive. sure, there are people who custom fabricate it...but you do not see turbo kits being sold by major companies.
as for ITBs on evos...go do it and be the first
ITBs take a lot of work to do also. and i dont think they're used on rally cars...hm, evos happen to be a rally cars. go figure?

The E36 M3 has a lot of turbo options available, nobody is disputing that.

and i do know how much they pay for aftermarket products...i own a bmw also.
bmw now has the 335i...which im assuming will lead to aftermarket turbos for them.
