forge mbc install pics and question

forge mbc install pics and question

today i installed my forge mbc so i figured i will share my finished pics with everyone, also one question after i installed the first 2 shifts the rpm stayed at 3k for a second or two with the clutch engaged anybody else have this problem it seems fine now after driving it for about 10 minutes just figured id ask.

Wow...that was a clean install and i really like the red vac tubing. But as a peice of advise I would not use the vac line from the manifold to the BOV as your source as pressure. See all a boost controller does is bleed off pressure and the reason that line runs from your manifold to your BOV is to keep pressure on the BOV to help it stay closed. So when your boost controller starts to bleed off pressure to control boost you are actually reducing the pressure on your BOV which can make it leak at higher rpm which will cost you power. You should use the turbo nipple as your pressure source for your boost controller. By the way where did you get that vac line? LAter

thanks for the advice i had to choose between these 2 diagrams below and there were many mixed emotions on which one to use but i chose to use the bov line anyone else have any feedback for me or suggestions any advice would help

and i got the red tubing at pep boys its not all that thick but it does the job

Uhhh....i was looking at your second pic and is your BOV on backwards? I have not seen a forge BOV in person, but to me it looks on backwards.....anyone else think so?

definatly was backwards just changed it but now it seems to do that rev thing even more

I thought it looked like it was on backwards. lol That happens to alot of people. What year evo do you have? I have heard alot of people with the 9's that describe what you are talking about.

How did you cap off the stock port from the stock LICP?

Could you have created a boost leak from removing your ICP?

If you still have the stock LICP on the car put the source for the MBC to the stock port and get rid of that Tee of the BOV control line.

what port from the licp i didnt touch that
