Suprising Weight Reduction W/Coilovers
Well I just resently purchased some used Megan coilovers from a member on here and am in the process of swapping them out. Just out of curiousity I decided to weigh them in my never ending quest to lighten this pig!
These results are from a stock strut+Tein S-Techs going to a Megan street setup. Not sure if other coilovers are similar in weight or not, should be.
Stock Fronts 20lbs each
Coilovers 11lbs each
Stock Rear 10lbs each
Coilovers 7lbs each
So in all not only did I greatly improve my handling and traction but also cut 24lbs off the weight! Just thought Id share the results so people looking at ways of reducing weight or trying to decide if they want coilovers can see the advantage.

This is a great old thread that should be revived. I just purchased a set of Ohlin DFV and wished I had weigh the sucker before putting them on my car. Wonder if anyone knows the weight of the Ohlin's?
