Driving Without Tune?
I searched and had to sift through what was most likely bogus info! Can I install my mods and drive the car still until I get my dyno tune. I do not beat my evo as it is still new with only 2000 miles. Also, if I can be safe driving it untuned what do I set my EBC too. I don't have a boost guage yet until I install the AEM Tru-Boost. Thanks
Mods:
Buschur TBE
Megan Manifold
Megan 02 Housing
ARC Intake
Walbro 255
HPF LICP
AEM Tru-Boost
AEM UEGO WB

i would make sure the boost gauge is in at least at the same time you do everything else....probably wouldnt mod that early either but im sure lots do....its ok to drive without the tune if you arent ripping on it.

If you're not changing fuel injectors, or setting the boost more than a few psi over stock, you don't "need" a tune. You should still have a pretty good margin of safety. 21 psi should still be pretty safe as long as you are running 93 octane, but you'll get different answers from different people.

i installed everything, but the intake before my tune. i didn't drive it that much and when i did i never got on it. i only had them on for about a week or two and once my eflash from jestr came i put my intake on and flashed it.....then felt the power

Turn the boost down as low as it goes and STAY OFF THE BOOST. I had to drive 20 miles for a tune after installing a new turbo, fuel pump, cams, cam gears, injectors, and a manual boost controller. No problems.

You will be perfectly fine. We drove this car an hour and a half to get tuned. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=220313
He has intake, exhaust, 680cc injectors, 2.3l, lower IC pipe, GSC 272/264 cams, 255 pump, MBC turned all the way out(15psi)
Dont sweat it, just drive it nice and you will be fine.
