A little rallying / 1 small break
So i decided over the weekend to take the car out for a drive with a few friends, we were just messin around for a little while and i decided to take the evo off road for a few minutes, it was actually pretty fun i got it to do doughnuts in the grass the thing just kept goin, looked like crop circles when i was done with it. My brother has a '02 wrx, and he couldn't get it sideways. Only took me about half a second. But anyways here is my problem, during the outing i some how managed to break the inside plastic tab on the passenger side of the front lip. So there is about half an inch if that of a gap between it and the rest of the bumper on that side. I am trying to decide if i should order a new one, and if you guys have any other place i could get factory parts besides Mitsu please let me know, or if i should go with a aftermarket CF lip and which one if anyone has a prefrence.

I f'd up my suspension when I went rallying by a mountainside...
Hahahaha. So my left side of the rear end is lower than my right...
ANYWAYS. There are lots of lips to choose from...
Not really sure which looks good on 9's...
I actually like the stock one a lot, so... If I had the same prob, I'd go to Mitsu and order a new stock one..

I say go for the CF front lip. Try RalliArt.

In the mean time, use some 3M double sided tape or something to keep that front lip on.

Yea i think the 3m tape would work, its not really all that serious. I called up my local Mitsu dealer and they said it would take 3 days to get and be about 270 plus tax. Not to bad, im gonna look around before i decide. I like the stock look though so i'll probably end up going to mitsu and ordering one. I just dont like the way the aftermarket ones come out on the sides.
It would also seem to save me a good 200 to 600 bucks if i just went with the stocker.

Took this with my camera phone, I also took pics of both sides of the lip so you could see the diffrence in the gap... but my damn phone is locking up everytime i go to email it to myself so Ill keep trying to see if it will work if not, its stored on my memory card and Ill pull it off that way later. I am in class until 10 tonight so i wont be back till later.... but here is the broken piece.
All it is is a tab that goes through the bottom of the bumper and holds on to the inside of the lip and it just looks like the plastic on the tab and the lip broke.

just superglue wont cut it...
id recommend double sided tape
or super glue with super glue activator which you can buy at a hobby shop, it will really make the super glue stick both those pieces together!

Yea i was going to go the double sided tape route but i have had bad experiences with it so i decided i am going to go and order a new lip through mitsu, i just can't justify spending 700 bucks on a lip that is going to be close to the ground and getting tore up. I do appreciate everyones input though, i went and looked at a few lips and decided to stick with the stock lip, i personally think its better for money wise and looks better IMO.
Thanks!
