EVO has HID?

I wouldn't go above 6000K. Anything higher has the bluish purplish look that seems to be all the rage these days, but actually doesn't provide much better light then standard halogens. Imagine having all the money invested in HID lighting and somebody with $9 bulbs in their stock vehicle being able to see better then you at night.
4100K Is the closest we can get to absolute white (sunlight) and all the OEMS use Philips or Osram Sylvania bulbs. You can get 6000K from Philips, but anything higher comes from cheap knockoff companies that cater to the ricer community. All that 6500, 7000K, 8000K BS may look pretty, but it is actually worse then stock and will cause eye fatigue and will probably get you a ticket.

I have seen the Evo headlights and was also concerned about how bright the headlights were. It seems as if the Evo lights are comparable to those used in the various Lexus models like the IS300, and ES300. They are bright but maybe not as as bright as say, an S2000's or BMW's headlights.
Just for reference/comparison, how bright are the stock S2000 HIDs? 5300K?
Thanks in advance.

I had thought 5000+ would be more into the blue range and not quite a true white. Anyway, this guy seems to know a lot more about it then i do. I found this while surfing the DSM forums:
