I just fix my profec b II (I broke the dam nipple) is on my car now is set to 21 psi, but the spool is a little be slow, what I'm comfused is the start boost(set gain) supposed to be lower or higher then set boost. thanks

Set gain is the boost level at which the boost controller first starts opening your wastegate. The higher you set it, the faster your turbo will spool, but you will also have more of a boost spike.

According to the manual of the Greddy Profec B Spec II and with my experience is that you want to set your set_gain ~4psi less than your desired boost.

Example would be let's say your desired boost is 21psi, then you need to set your set_gain to 17psi.

The gain is what will greatly affect your spiking or not. I suggest the following:

1. set your set: 50%
2. set your set_gain in your case: 17psi.
3. Set your Gain: 15
4. Slowly increase your set to desired value to achieve your 21psi.
5. If all is well, increase set value until 21psi is achieved.
6. if you spike, lower your gain value.
7. trying and error to achieve 21psi with little spiking.

im running 23.5psi and set gain is at 14psi and spooling starts at 2300rpm hit full boost at 3400rpm. don't go by the manual, i tried set gain at 18.5psi... the spooling was much slower.
