I have seen an auto racing with the nitrous intercooler kit, without the bottle installed on the car. The auto passed the inspection right in front of me. I heard the judge asking if the bottle was out of the car.

I don't think they should be any problem with SCCA rules.

I have searched for a custom system for my Evo, but haven't found anything. A friend of mine installed a Venom V-1000 system on his new MINI and he told me it's really safe, it will provided a computer that shuts down the NOS if the mixture gets too lean. It provides an additional 100 HP.

Let me know what's out there for my car, and some feedbacks from people running their Evo's on Nitrous.

I would only use nitrous for drag purposes only. imo, nitrous is unecessary on the road course or autocross. if you decide to use a nitrous system...make sure you address your fuel system, weld a bung for the nozzles for perfect fitment and no leaks, and run a dump tube for the bottle.

nitrous is CRACK for evo's.

one more thing, once the bottle runs empty, the fun is all gone till you refill the bottle!!

Nobody seems to answer what Nitrous system setup they run on they Evo.

I only need some advice FROM PEOPLE THAT ARE CURRENTLY USING NITROUS ON THEIR EVO'S.

If you haven't try it yet, please read on, don't reply.

Since I'll be participating in Solo Uno events, I can't installed a lot of mods because I'll get bumped to another class.

I prefer to stay stock at the track, with only some minors mods like springs, intake, Toyo RA1 tires.

The nitrous will only be used on rare ocassions on the street when someone pulls up on a faster car.

I do not plan to shot nitrous everyday on my Evo, just want some advice from people who have nitrous on their applications.

I have had a NX kit on my Evo since I bought in 2003. Sprayed a 75 shoot for 3 years with no problems. Never tuned the nitrous, I put the jets in the silenoids that the NX tech told me and the A/F ratio was just a tad bit richer when I spary. So I didnt change anything tuning wise. I also picked up 10 mph with the 75 shot in the 1/4...
