Exclamation Brake Pedal GRIND??

Okay... so its been snowing over here in New Mexico every two weeks or so.. When ever I press the brakes say in the snow or an ice slick my brakes seem to grind or notchy, kind of like grinding shifts but without the noise, feels very odd to say....

So I was wondering if it could be my ABS working incorrectly/correctly or my AWD enabling my front brakes to be applied will skidding/sliding...????

Hope this makes sense.... ALL CRITISISM IS GREATLY APPRECIATED

You know I never really noticed it until I installed my braided brake lines. That might be what sent mine into over drive

this could depend on the type of tire you are using

but I assure you most evo/sti drivers experience extensive abs braking

oh and why are you threshold braking in snow?

There's also a feature of the abs that tries to brake in such a way as to turn the car in the direction the front wheels are pointed. I got to observe this working back when I first got my Evo and tried to drive in deep snow on the OEM tire. When this all fires up you get a lot of humming and buzzing through the brake pedal. It makes a nice foot massager but does little else.

well I never thought that the AB system would make your braking feel as if your grinding gears together???? It's to bearable to even tap my brakes when this happens at slow speeds....

But all in all I hope that its just my ABS, unless someone can clue in....
