In my opinion, the A-pillar is the best place for gauges, as it is easier to keep an eye on the road and view the gauges at the same time. There are also new HUD setups you might want to look into, however I have heard from several people it is hard to see the reflection in broad daylight. Then there is always that stupid empty "lancer" spot in the gauge cluster, if you don't have any qualms about hacking it up =)

Can you show me a pic of yours installed in your car please. Can you see any of the wires, or is it all hidden? Is it screwed into your steering column or double sided tape?

Thanks
