I think you are getting way to excited about this dealer. I don't launch my car or beat on it much at all for that matter. My car has a little over 16k on it and the clutch is just fine. $105 at that one dealer for and oil change, that is a rip off. The $70 you paid at the other dealer is a lot better, but I paid $55 for my last oil change at my dealer.

Which is also why I stayed at the dealer when I had anything done - I dont trust them.
I saw the same thing just not with an Evo. I traded in an 02 mustang gt to get my evo. I was standing outside looking at some other cars in the lost while the were preparing the papers for me to sign on the Evo, and I watched one of the techs talking the mustang for a drive to check it out. Once he hit the road he was on it all the way. He could have done worse, and might of after he was out of sight, but he was in not taking it easy on the car.

Another non-reader..... I paid $25 for the oil change and $22 for the oil so I paid $47 which is less than what you even paid. I knew what he was saying about the clutch was not true but he's a service manager not a mechanic. He just drives the evo's and from expereince my evo's engagement point was much higher than other's. Simple as that!

I'm sorry... forgive my ignorance, I'm very new. But, how is $70 a good deal for an oil change?? $105 is outrageous, but $70 isn't much better... I've always gotten my oil changed at this one place where I work for $40. Is there something extra special about an oil change on an Evo that makes it that much more expensive?

The Evo runs Mobil 1, which does cost more. FWIW, my dealer charges $49 for an oil change.

You know what though, the service manager can say what he wants about a clutch not voiding the warranty. But the thing is after a repair costs over $1000 (i can't remember the exact mount). the regional service manager most likely will take a look at the car, and when he sees an aftermarket clutch in their, your warranty will be voided.

You guys are a bunch of whiners.

The service manager didnt drive that car any different than the owner would have..... besides its an evo and its made for aggressive driving. Hell I trade cars with friends on lapping days. Big deal. Its not like he was out dropping the clutch at 6k. Jeez.

As for the clutch if it doesn't slip it doesn't need to be replaced. As for aftermarket warranty related items by the time the aftermarket one takes a digger you'll probably be out of warranty.

The only thing I can dig on you about is not doing your own oil change.

that's not that bad of a price ($70), where i work (toyota dealer) a reg. price for a synthetic oil change for a similar would be 73. that is not a bad price, but i would definitly just do it myself.

Its very rare that anyone is happy taking their car to the dealership.I wish there were more dealers that wouldn't try to screw you over on a warranty issue.

Im from Jersey, but go to school in grand forks, ND. The closest mitsu dealer to me is 70 miles away in Fargo. They are ok i guess. I pay them $25 for the labor and filter, i bring my own royal purple($25). They are ok.

They wash my car for free also.
