FYI , that model of Audi ( 5 cylinders , 2133 cc ) back in 84-87 was rated for around 600 HP in group B WRC ( with pilots as Walter Röhrl , Michele Mouton , Stig Blomqvist or Hannu Mikkola ) . Audi engineers even succeed in puting 1000 HP on this powerplant , but it was absolutly impossible to drive

The street version , Audi Sport Quattro ) had around 350 hp , not bad , for a car that old ^^

And yes , this video shows the progress made in suspension , chassis and AWD transmission 20 years later , good find

Yes, most mid-lux sedans today will hang with or beat many supercars from the 70s and 80s. It's called progress... and I love it
