Got beat by S4
#2
If the S4 was fixed up and the race was lost beyond 130mph, I wouldn't feel so bad. Since there were two things not in your favor. The S4 was not stock and who knows what power it puts down. Also, the EVO's gearing is not really for high speed racing. Rather, it is for the track, which typically stays below 130mph (at least the tracks I've ran, like Buttonwillow and Thunderhill). Get a rematch on some twisties and it could get kinda ugly for the S4 (unless he spent an arma and a leg on his suspension as well).

wow, this has a lot of views and hasnt been moved yet..... lol. moderators are slacking on the street racing threads
fixed up S4 - rule 1 - dont assume anything, if its fixed up, REALLY dont assume anything. i assumed that this 350z i raced was stock. lol, boy did he spray on me. i was at my friends shop the other day (he has a 300+ nitrous S2000) and a guy was dynoing his 340whp nitrous M3. you wouldnt think someone would do that to an M3 (especially since it was all stock except for lowered) but sure enough it had about a 100shot. both of these are cars you would race thinkin they are all motor and u "should" win, and you'll get str8 mopped.

both the 2.7 V6 TT & 4.2 V8 S4s are very capable - I wouldn't feel bad at all loosing to either. There are more then a couple mid 12 2.7L S4s in the Minneapolis area, and I hear they are dip into the 12s with very little work. Audi builds strong forced induction engines, and like Mitsubishi this technology was designed and perfected on the rally circuit.

Modded S4 is a killa. Check http://www.goapr.com/Audi/products/2...452hp\495lb-ft on 100 octane. i know a few guys in my area running high 11s and low 12s in theirs S4s. Stock S4 on the other hand is no match for EVO.

"WORKS was doing a little benchmark testing against some of the cars the EVO is likely to encounter out on the road. Our non-timed, "street race" style experiments yielded the following results.
EVO vs. 2002 Audi S4
Third through fourth gear pull. EVO leads by car length and a half. Mods on EVO were limited to WORKS prototype catback exhaust. Mods to S4 included chip, DP, and catback. "

I have no power mods done yet. I do have a boost gauge and turbo timer in stalled so faar. Intake, blow off valve, and exhuast are on its way. I was amazed by how fast my car went to 130. I am use to driving American cars and the gears are completely different. I was in 4th but it felt like 2nd I wasnt sure what gear to shift into. LMAO. I shut it down after 4th though. IF if see him again in a few weeks I think I will beat him since I will have some mods done to my car.
