Gauge Cluster Lighting?

Ive searched this topic.. and i found ppl wit smilar problems but not quite my problem.. i installed a headunit in to my IX, and now when i turn my head lights on, my gauge cluster lights turn off. but when my headlights are off, the gauge cluster is lite fine... ive checked the Fuses.. everythin looks fine.. anyone have any ideas?

Hey, my friend had the same problem with his Benz, he took it to a shop and they just rewired some wires and grounded in some different places, everything worked fine now. I'll ask him what the specific answer was.

thats the same as me, but mine only dim, not turn all the way off. i just turned the brightness all the way up cause it wont bother me in the day, and at night i'll have them dimmed cause my lights are on anyway.

check where the power wire for the HU was run to. it might be drawing too much power for this one specific wire to handle.

i never bothered figuring mine out, but i always thought it might have been because of the hid's
