I don't know if this is a repost, On Speed Channel Redline Tv, two teams were givin Evo's ... And were givin 30k of mods
Had to put the mods on in 3 days.
They get judged in the catagories looks, power(dyno) and drag.
First Evo dynod at 530 hp with nos.
Second Evo dynod at 550hp w/o nos.
I dont know it was pretty cool.
oh btw the 2nd Evo won.

I've seen the episode a couple times. It always reminds me of what's called a "suicide run" when overclocking computers. That's when a machine is overclocked to the point of just being stable enough to boot. The user, then, takes a screen shot of his clock speed/FSB, and shows the world how fast he got his machine to run. All the while, that same machine is unable to pass basic stability tests.
Similarly, I don't get terribly impressed when seeing high HP numbers that help a car run a quick 1/4 mile. I'm more interested how a modded engine withstands the rigors of enthusiastic driving for many, many thousands of miles.

For the record, the silver car Martin and I helped build ran a 10.9 in Georgia. It did run the number to back the horsepower up. Not bad for a car with stock cams and headbolts that was probably 100 lbs+ heavier than stock with all the appearance and stereo stuff installed.
