What are you talking about ricey? the boost gauge is a necessity not an all show for a rally car.

Not at all, especially if you have any kind of modifications that alter the boost. Something can always go wrong, so keeping tabs on what your boost does is crucial to insuring that the car has a long and healthly life.

What I am saying is that a boost gauge is not ricey at all and that you really need it. It is perhaps one of the most important gauges in a rally car.

I would assume that yes, rally cars do have boost gauges. Image tearing through the forest/desert/mountain and your car suddenly suffers a loss of power. Obviously, since the car is boosted, you'd look at the gauge to check the pressure. The gauge must be there for the drivers to troubleshoot issues.

its a good idea to have.. when the temp changes you need to make small adjustments for it.

if you dont want it in plain site there are companies that sell a glove box mount.

Defi's are just popular and good looking also they perform well. there are many other high end guages that perform just as well.

i will but i really like the "traditonal" analog type gauges,

althought at this point I am thinking maybe i just get a AVC-R and just throw it on the streering column and have it show me boost levels...

I don't see how they'd have time to look at a boost gauge.
