THANKS

I no longer have it but it was pretty much right on with my autometer gauge so I'd say it's pretty accurate because when my car was dynoed the numbers matched the logs

Mines is Tuned to 23 psi according to turbo trix, but when i stomp on the gass it just goes all the way to the end of the Gauge, but i have a profec b-spec II and i read the Peak boost from it, and its only 24.5 so considering one or 2 spikes thats about right. But I know 1.5 bar is higer than 23psi. So no the gauge isn't to accurate. <wrong

I stand corrected

No, 1.5 bar is 21.75 psi.

OP, the gauge is probably as accurate as any other mechanical boost pressure gauge. Yes, you should be able to boost 1.5 bar just fine, but I would suggest that you spend a few bucks and get tuned for it. you'll get more power that way and you will be less likely to damage anything.

Our MR did that when we first got it, turns out it was overboosting. Get another gauge in there to verify, just run it under the hood and through the passenger window for a couple of pulls.

It spikes past 1.5, but does it hold there, or taper back down to 1.5?

Also, is this only in 5th and 6th gear on the highway, or in the lower gears as well?

Someone has it right. The stock boost gauge is not in bars. Its in kg/cm. It very close to bars but not exact. 1.5 kg/cm is 1.47 bars and 21.33 psi

This Boost gauge is also standard on the RS. I just thought that had to be said. RS
