Well, I don't want to go quite that far, PKEVO. An EBC can be properly setup to run very well without damaging anything. Most people don't know how to set them up properly, though, and then yes, they are more prone to failure due to all the electronics. That doesn't mean EBCs are bad. They just aren't worth all the money over an MBC to ME.

heard it was harder to tune.. the original version is good up to 26 psi and was easy to tune.. that is the liking of my choice?

PK, no, I wouldn't say that it's common at all.
Fp, you should learn to launch and shift first before worrying about mods. You'll gain a lot more on your ET from improved driving than you will with a boost controller, imo. Then, once you're learned to drive it, start adding mods to bump it up further.
