since When Does aluminum rust? Aluminum can corrode, but not rust. Its corrodes from Oxidation, but Oxidation on iron makes Rust (a completely new metal).
Also the reason you touch up scratches and chips is to prevent Corrosion.

Tocuh up tips
I bought the touch up ( I forgot the brand but they have him at the autoparts) that comes with some sort of "bondo" and a primer pen and some sand papers.
my question is, should i prime (very little odbiously) before I apply the mitsu paint from the pen i got at the dealer?

Stop tailgating....that pinging sound isn't your engine lol its rocks hiiting you car. You best bet is to consult a body shop...Alot of time if you do it wrong its even more noticeable if you touch it up. I left mine alone knowing more or just going to appear. When I am all done modifing the red beast I will repaint and park. It'll be my weekend car.

Same here...The front of my car looks like someone shot it with a shotgun. I mentioned this paint problem to one of those customer service people who keep on calling me to take a survey...He told me that a crappy paint job could be covered under warranty and that I should bring the car back to the dealership. I'm not going to hold my breath, but I have an appointment on Tuesday.

I got a nice big rock chip on the way home after I just picked up my new IX. I was pissed to say the least, but what can you do. Its gonna happen. I'm really surprised by how well the tires pick up rocks and fling them around in the wheel wells.
