Guys using the double sided tape do yu tape the plate itself to the black bracket and then tape the black bracket to the car? Is there a cetain method you guys use to hold the plate securely. Ive had my front mount kit but haven't put it on due to drilling holes... CAn anyone describe the double taping method?

A couple of well placed zip ties (the more durable black ones you can get from any home convenience store) can do wonders.
I did it on my Evo; I did not want to drill a hole in my bumper and use that huge billboad bracket license plate holder.
I'll get a pic for you.
Here's the pic.

Take the factory plate mount and cut the double sticky tape to fit the lower mount point on the bracket (shown here)
When you install it, hold the bottom of the bracket away from the bumper until you get all the mounting holes lined up and then push it against the bumper.
I have yanked on this thing and it holds really well.
I never run my car through a drive through car wash but would definitely avoid one if you're using the sticky tape. It might not come off but it could get ugly if it did lift
Just an FYI, it is illegal in both Washington and Oregon to have your plate sitting inside the car. I was pulled over once and they told me it is dangerous if you get in a wreck (I can see that).
