Is the EVO IX a collector car?
Alright, I know Evos don't get the public prosperity such as other makes, but it's definately a Great car.
I was just wondering if anyone thinks the IX is going to be a car to save and keep in pristine condition. I mean, it's the last of the legendary 4G63 engine!!
Definately a Legend (IMHO- at least)
Tough thing is that it is gonna be hard to keep the miles down, and keep the wear and tear off (kind of like the Shelby 427 Cobra- not many originals around because everyone raced them)

MKIV supras there were like 8000 TOTAL in teh U.S. threw 93.5-98 and depending on the color or if it is a hardtop it was even more rare so 7k in the world might not be that high of a number IMO even though the supra is based on more than one year but still that was also on the U.S.

I believe it could be. The IX SE MR defiently has the potential. There just arent that many of em. As far as color id have to say EB. I hardly ever see any EB IX's. I mainly see TB and RR.

If I had the money I would surely set one aside and put 0 miles on it. Have it sitting there just to look at, hey maybe 15-20 years down the road a mint condition EVO (extremely unlikely that there will exist one) will be worth something, maybe even sticker price!

The IX is a nice car; But it is problably more of a test Mule.
The change to the Mivec, ECU, cooling pasages, turbo, etc. is all being tested to see how the new innovations work.
All they have to do is add all this things and let the public use them for a year or two. Then after all the fine tuning is done, they are incorporated into the new production car, the Evo X.
