MBC setting ?

Ok so i helped my buddy install the forge UNOS MBC on his car, we started off by turning the nob all the way to the left ( least possible boost). we did the pull it spiked up to exactly 1.4. i know its bleed off regulated with the forge unos, what im asking is how come its 1.4 bar at the lowest possible setting?

i just want to know if thats just how it is if anybody else used the forge unos.

double check that you hooked up the lines correctly, check out post 2 from this thread https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=114794
most likely the vaccum lines from the mbc are switched backwards. if the vaccum lines are correct are they zipped tied?

If it has the stiff spring, the min boost will be higher.

When the lines are backwards, it usually spikes up over 25psi, not 20psi.

well the forge unos is a bleed off style, so i dont know if it can be installed backwards? does the line coming from the wastegate hook up directly under it or from the side? also does the stiff spring come installed in the forge unos cause there was another spring in the bag i dont know if that was the lighter or stiffer one.

Yes, it can be installed backwards by you switching the hoses.

Wastegate goes to the side - turbo to the bottom.

The spring it came with depends on where you bought it - it usually has the soft spring in it when it comes from Forge, but you should have been given the other spring in the kit. Regardless, 1.4 bar is fine for minimum - you don't need to go lower than that anyway.

ya, the reason i was asking is, i figure they start it off with the soft spring,
i got it at lancer shop, so i dont know if the soft spring or the stiff spring is in it, like i said there was one other spring in the box, but i cant tell if its the soft or stiff, i was just wondering why the lowest possible boost was so high.

Try the other spring and see what it does. If it shows 11-12psi when set to minimum, then yours came with the stiff spring.

Poop on you buying that from Lancershop when there are so many awesome Evo vendors out there. Lancershop is just an internet ***** vendor - they make a new domain name for each car just to make the owners of that car think they specialize in it. They sux.
