What is the top speed for a 2006 NA Evo MR?

My research from Google shows 150MPH but I guessing owners here have seen higher top end speeds

I’m trying to decide which car I want to race at the World of Speed ’07 event at the Bonneville Salt Flats (http://www.saltflats.com). It appears my NSX has a higher top end speed then my Evo MR. I will be racing in the pure stock class.

Help me decide!

You would be correct. The NSX has much better aerodynamics.

Believe it or not, The NSX & '06 Evo have the same Coefficient rating of .32

remove speed limiter and set rev to 8k.. you should get more mph out of it.. i did 167 stock according to stock gauge but there was more juice..

Not sure how the Evo and NSX have the same drag coefficient, but the MR should reach terminal speed before your NSX.

You made me verify my claim on coefficient rating on the NSX. As per book called "Acura NSX Honda's Supercar" by Brian Long on page 22 has the following statement "Finally, detail work, such as narrow shut lines on body panels, flush door handles, refining the nose and headlight covers, and providing a smooth underside, cut wind noise and dropped the recorded drag and lift figures still further, ultimately giving a Cd of 0.32 and a Cl of 0.02 up front an 0.03 at the rear".

I don't recall where I read the Cd of the Evo MR but I will locate an offical source to quote. Unless someone beats me to the source

I'm still looking for an official Mitsubishi coefficient rating for the '06 Evo MR. I have found the following rating for a '06 Evo GSR which must be similar to the MR referenced at: http://backoftheenvelope.blogspot.com/:

Drag coefficient of 0.38, frontal area of 23.38 square feet.

I must have been thinking about my previously owned S2000 having the same Cd rating as the NSX.
