Don't worry about it there'll be plenty of Evos left by the time you get your settlement. 6500 is alot to go around. If they were seling for $15K each then I'd be a litttle worried.

I still say Mitsu will build as many as they can sell, I remember when the WRX came out Subaru pulled the same crap, fist saying it would be limited production, then amking tons of them. Mitsubishi will build as many as they can sell in the US....

Just my opinion though....

Thats the same thing i thought wouldnt they make more money selling as many as they can instead of just 6500 with markups that most people arent even paying?

the plant that builds the Evos is the only one in the world that builds Evos...its production compasity for a year is somewhere around 20,000

remember that same plant has to produce cars for the rest of the world too and our cars r different from the rest of the world

with the rate that they are hitting US shores I think you will probably be able to find Evos on the lots or coming soon throughout the year. Many of the die-hard Evo fans already have theirs, and most people will be turned off by the wait involved in taking an Evo home. If you are flexilbe with your color/options and your delivery date, I think you will be able to find one without to much hastle.

im not worried about the 2fast2furious hype because i saw the mitsubishi commercials and they advertize a regular lancer and eclipse spyder instead of the evo they even show clips from the movie and most people think thats a regular lacer eventhought in the movie(which i already saw a few weeks ago cause of a screaning) paul walker says its an evo once i thought it was a regular lancer when i saw previews for it a while ago

The so called 6,500/5,000/1000 whatever it is unit story is just a salespitch for dealerships to make customers buy same day.

I havent seen ONE mitsubishi press article that says a hard figure, some of the employees of mitsubishi (including high end people) will say this, but if you ask them if they can quote it on paper they would decline that.

Dont worry dude, there plenty out there, theres a dealership here who has 3 sitting in the showroom and 3 sitting in the lot.

Besides a limited production car usually has a plaque of some sort that shows which unit number it is (like the ITR), the only reason why it would be limited production is if it doesnt sell, which would force them to pull it from the lineup.

I had the same worry. i am waiting for the title of my car from the MVA/DMV/Whatever they call it in your state. I sent for tht title a month ago, but i was told that it could take up to 60 days. Once I get the title i am going to sell the car FAST. A silver 00 s4 should not be hard to sell in my state. I just dont want to get raped on the trade. I am worried that i might not be able to get a blue by you. I have noticed that all dealers in my area say that they will be getting a blue one next month .

Let me add an off topic thought to that quote. Why are they comparing the price of a Lancer to a WRX sedan. Try comparing that base price to an STi and getting a stereo for $2000 less.
