Tuned / MBC ?

I had my car tuned with an ecuteck flash in the past without my MBC install . apprently my tuner raised my boost for me and i'm now running 20-21 pounds. Do i need to install my MBC? or will it just be a waste of money since my Boost is already increased. I heard that other have had their cars Flash with the Ecuteck and still have the MBC to hold their boost ? is this true if so do you think i should install my mbc or just leave it because i already got my car tuned. You see i ask this because i see many people with Ectueck flashes and having MBC install so i thought why do we have an MBC anyways when we already have our Boost raised from the Ecuteck Flash.

The EcuTek flash doesn't raise boost - it just removes some of the taper. You install the MBC if you want full control of boost and want to raise the peak boost. You are in Utah on an VIII with 91oct, so you could install it and run a solid 21psi then run 24-25psi on race gas at the track, but if you don't ever plan to change your boost in the future, then you're probably fine how it is now.

I would not raise boost when you're tuned for a lower boost level unless you raise the octane.

Get MBC (it will have your boost solid up to a redline) and then get more parts and get retuned....IMO the best way to go without wasting money on pointless tunes
