But im looking for a very quick upgrade that can help performance in the next few days...do you guys have any suggestions? what sort of track? lapping or <shivers> drag racing.

for lapping I'd suggest real break pads, high temp fluid and steel lines.
for drag racing I'd recommend saving money for a new clutch.

Driver mod - i.e. learning how to launch it...Ill dig up my 2step tech...

Flash is a great simple mod that will make a difference. A filter may add a couple of whp, but not as much as the flash.

If drag racing, here is my 2step walk-through:

If track, yes like Greg said, upgrade the brake pads and go to a DOT4 fluid.

if you want the best quick and help out alot get a drop in filter it just opens the air better then stock.

The best way to go is to go stock a few times look for your best time. Its going to take you a few times at the track to get use to the light 2 step and all that good stuff.

Then start doing one mod at a time. Drop in filter, then after you get a few runs in get some more time. Get a turbo back with a highflow or go test pipe if you do use a test pipe you will need to retune your car so the cel light wont come on . Then start modding the car untill you like it the way it is.

The tune isnt for the light, to be clear. The mech. O2 fix or the O2 sim. will get rid of the SES rear O2 light associated with a HFC or TP.

MBC (set to 22-23psi) and/or quick flash would be the best, quickest, and cheapest mods to do between now and when you go to the track. The filter won't really do anything.
