What happened to the guy with 10,000 miles on 3 weeks?

MMSA had no idea, and couldn't have cared less, that you intended to enter your EVO in the Cannonball One Lap of America. And you can't be serious when you say that, because you didn't notice any engine failure symptoms until one week after the race, therefore there cannot be any causal relationship.
And, as for knowing your name, I know lots of things. I'm not called Seņor Info for nothing.
Here's another interesting tidbit about yourself, Meeyatch1. The day you found out that you had voided your new car warranty, you registered another userid here, mason@tirerack. Until today, you'd more-or-less stopped using your Meeyatch1 userid in favor of the mason@tirerack userid, apparently for the same reasons you sanitized any reference to One Lap from all of your previous posts.

1.) I have the other user name because I keep my business and personal contributions separate on here. Simple as that. Read my post for both and they are obviously separate in nature. I do not use them for any other reasons than to keep business and personal lives separate. So what?
2.) I don't know who you are or how you know what you know, but I AM serious when I tell you when the noise occurred. Unless you are me (which you are not) you have no proof otherwise. I have been truthful and straightforward about everything so far. Think about it, if I was not truthful I would not be having this conversation because my honesty is what got me here. So stay on topic, leave my work life and contributions alone since they have nothing to do with this, and have a nice day.

What is the definition of a "race" my Mitsubishi? Sanctioning body? Records?
What all do they need as Proof? Seems they'd need a VIN on a record in order to prove that it was the car in question.

Meeyatch1:
Sorry I brought this matter up again but it was always nice reading your posts since you had the highest mileage Evo. In any case, I hope you get the engine fixed/replaced under warranty and that Mitsu does the right thing.
Peace.

It seems that he racked up most of those miles competing in the Cannonball One Lap of America, where he finished in 26th place overall and 7th place in the Mid-Priced Sedan category. Mitsubishi says that its warranty clearly states that if the car is ever used in a race or other competitive event, then the car is ineligible for warranty coverage.
Mitch seems to think that if he sanitizes his previous posts, then Mitsubishi will have no proof that he ran in the One Lap. Obviously, anyone, including Mitsubishi, can go the the One Lap website, http://www.onelapofamerica.com, and see that he did. I have no idea why he thinks Mitsubishi should fix his car for free.

I say just skip Mistu all together, write off the warantee as a loss, and go for broke with quality JUN internals...then maybe you can get 1st in the speed competitions.
Subaru is just a bad with their god damned POS 5 speed...they break left and right, and they don't want to cover thier garbage underengineered product.
Good luck...**** THE CORPERATION!

Well, my concern is if this part of the car is that fragile, what about the rest? No reason to upgrade a car that I feel is not built well overall.
In reference to your other comment, the best way to show Mitsubishi that you cannot do this to customers and expect them to just sit by and take it is to buy a different car. A new Honda or Acura car may be nice. They have always taken care of me in the past, and have earned my loyalty as my sig shows. They always have taken care of all my cars, even when the warranty has expired. The best example is when they gave me a NEW transmission ($7,000) in my NSX when a previous owner had neglected the car. It broke right after I bought the car from him and Honda/Acura covered it completely when I was 5 years and 21,000 miles PAST the warranty. Guess what, THAT is what makes people keep buying your cars and builds loyalty.
