has any body else had a problem with the stock intercooler piping (rubber piece) rubbing against the fan and cuttin it in turn loosing boost!! if so tell me b/c i need to fix the problem without actually getting a full metal intercooler piping set..

Your going to either need to get hardpipes or a new peice from mitsubshi to replace the damaged pipe. Do I know you by the way? This is Rob with the silver '03 on juice.

yeah my friend had the same problem the fan cut a hole the size of a golfball in the piping..he ended up getting new UICP

just checked mine... and mine has been rubbing as well!!! good thing i saw this thread... thanks.. i guess ill be getting that next.

I've been checking mine, and although it's close it's not touching.

I checked mine out and it is rubbing against the fan shroud.During boost those stock hoses tends to bloat up thats why i went with an hardpipe UICP.
