Possible STi to Evo Switch...

Possible STi to Evo Switch...
Well anyone on NASIOC probably knows me, and I have a deposit on a white/gold STi which should be coming in any day now.
Trouble is, Big Valley Dodge/Subaru (Van Nuys, CA) decided to add in a $1,995 stereo (Jensen) and $2,995 markup on all STis. That's $5K of extra junk. I laughed at the manager who tried to justify $2K for a stereo.
Or I can go across the street to Miller Mitsubishi and get an Evo for MSRP.

i hear ya dude... i was in your shoes also. comes down to preference. i dont quite understand what you want out of this thread but, uhm - get an EVO if your down with precision steering/handles and great power. get an STi if you want massive power and a well rounded daily carver
oh and dude, dont settle for MSRP. Miller can go under, I can almost guarantee that.

Get the Evo!
No car is worth 5k over, a new WRX can be bought for at least 4k under sticker, and within six mos, they will give away the STI too.
I walked away from an M3 to the Evo, and the only car that i may consider giving up my Evo for is the Porsche TT

Yeah, get the Evo ( under MSRP ) drive over Big Valley Dodge / Subaru to show them they have just lost a sale, and then if you're itching for more power, sink the money you saved into mods for the Evo

An Evo for under MSRP sounds tempting.

Interesting that you guys should mention Miller Mitsubishi as they told me that they could not sell the Evo for MSRP or less because it was "too limited," blah blah blah. This happened at the beginning of May so I am sure you could probably get a good deal now that things are changing over at the Soob dealership.
Goodluck and let us know how it went.

I have to agree with the sti to evo choice. I am an avid sti and evo fan, but when it came down to it i chose the evo. But then again from what ive heard, if you want a super powered daily driver go for the sti. your call man.

He got his for $500 under MSRP from Adam Wetzel (Fleet manager) at (888) 226-3619. PM CoolGuy949 and get yourself a beautiful EVO!
