If youre talking zo6, then your talking about adding 25-30k to your Evo "upgrade" Any other vette isn't worth it IMO.
When you really dice it, we mod our cars...just mod and upgrade to HIDs. After that what do you have? Seems petty, but if thats one thing you have above the IX....you can have it
Would it be reasonable to start a IX over the VIII? not really because Mitsu improved on it. There are marginal differences

I never owned a VIII, but I was kinda disapointed when they took the IC sprayer out, I know only the 03 and some 04s came with the IC sprayer, but I still think it would have been cool, but I haven't had any problems with a heat soaked intercooler. Unlike my MR2 the SMIC would be heat soaked in only few seconds of ripping it up (I still had the stock one on.)

i drive mostly highway and get 340-360 in my evo
stock c6 (non z06) corvettes are not inspiring to drive. imo not worth the 50k price tag. I have more fun in my s2000 than the corvette.

the interior is nicer on the IX, you could have upgraded the HIDs (I went to the dealer and they told me that you could swap HIDs into a base IX if I wanted to. or go aftermarket.), MIVEC seems to be helping with power. The fuel economy cant be THAT much different (so like one said, if you want a high MPG, get a hybrid or civic). And my IX isnt louder than my friends VIII, so maybe its just your car. Supposedly, the wing is still all CF, but the IX sides are just painted. I read on here that if you sand them down, u will see the CF. i didnt try it, but people said they have. i guess some people just complain about some really stupid things....or maybe dont know any better?

I still dont understand how some of you guys are getting such good fuel economy! I am jealous. I get around 280 miles/tank freeway and way less around town. WAY less.
