Oct 1st is the start for the federal government. most companies go with the calender year to match their fiscal year, so January 1st would most likely be the start.

Why do you say that? In the last couple years they have gone from - to +.... 36 million profit = after all expenses are covered and every employee payed etc... I think after working very hard to suit their vehicles to the wants of the customers that they would be foolish to abandom that work, especially if it's payed off by making them once again profitable

I don't think that Mitsu is going anywhere, however I do believe that the X is going to lose its hot factor when it comes out. I think the idea of them taking out the 4g63 is going to kill the car. Much like the eclipse. The good thing is they are keeping it the turbo. I don't know though. I know that im a faithful 4g63 enthusiast and I will be sad to see it go. Time will tell, we will see what the X has to offer. It would be cool if they came back with te 4g in the new eclipses That wouldnt make sense for them to do that though.

I will have to agree that there have been many advances in engine design. I guess im just stuck haha. Its a tough change. I didnt like mivec at first either, but its actually great. I still will stick with my VIII though. Im not going to diss the new car I just am curious to see how well it actually does.

Any car maker that is doing turbo cars (EVO, WRX, SRT-4, etc) needs to do flex fuel vehicles that have boost dependent on fuel mix.
You could have a 300hp on gasoline / 350hp on E-85 EVO from the factory right now if it was flex fuel with boost dependent on fuel mix. To me that would be a HUGE selling point, and a big incentive to run reneable fuel. That is the future of liquid fueled vehicles in North America, and I am amazed that some manufacturers have not jumped on this opertunity.

Well the year started pretty good, January Sales rose 25.6% compared to January 2006. Hey it's nothing huge, but when there are many companies struggling, such as Ford which has fallen from 2nd to 4th in US sales over the recent years, any increase should be viewed as a very good thing
