Downpipe and Megan Catback WITH stock cat?

Does anyone know if I will run into any sort of problems installing a megan 3'' Downpipe and Catback and then keeping the stock cat (not putting in high flow or testpipe)?

Thanks!

I had that setup for a week before my test pipe came in, it sucked ****. I made no power from the downpipe at all with the stock cat in place, and when I installed a test pipe into the system, I felt like it gained more HP from just the TP in place of the stock cat than the rest of the exhaust system without it. Just get a test pipe, or skip the downpipe entirely and just get a catback.

your best bet is just to save up the extra $100 for a ur test pipe. you would only have to bolt it back on once every two years in CO for emissions testing.

I have a catback... but looking at downpipes and testpipes... basically what Im saying is did you find any sort of mechanical problems running your downpipe and cat back (if you had this) with a stock cat..

I would use this setup for a bit before I decide on what to replace my cat with.

Yeah, it will bolt up fine, but I wouldnt waste my time installing the DP before I got the TP or HFC.

you can find test pipes here for like 40 bucks. Personally I would run a high flow cat if you have cops that check under the car.

I'm not familiar with cops checking under our cars.... do you get a ticket or what is the penalty?
