bov upgrade help
Currently I have the following mods
hks 272 cams
Buschur deluxe i/c
Buschur Upper & lower i/c piping
forge 1g bov
Buschur V-band 3 in turbo back exhaust
Buschur maf intake and piping
manual boost controller 26-28 psi
Buschur compact battery
Dynoflash
My bov is not holding and i am looking to upgrade it. Does any have any suggestions on a better bov. Also i am looking to get some more power any advice on what my next steps should be. I am going to get a walbro 255 fuel pump and considering an alky kit. Should i do anything else before the alky kit.

Why do you have "forge 1g bov" listed? It's either a 1G or a Forge - can't be both. 1G refers to the stock BOV that came on 1G DSMs. Forge is a vendor who makes aftermarket BOVs, among other things.
How do you know the BOV is not holding? I need to know that answer before suggesting anything. Also, how are you running 26-28psi (why is it a range and not a set psi?) when you don't have alky and don't even have a fuel pump?

It is a forge and it came from buschur with the uicpiping. it is 28psi that is what my gauge is reading. at half throttle slow accleration my car will get to about 10 to 12 psi and the release without letting off the gas. Or when i get on it at higher psi my car will do the same. that is why i asume that the bov is not holding.

A boost leak test is the only way to tell where you may be loosing boost.
Get a wideband
Turn down the boost
Get a fuel pump
Do a boost leak test

Wtf, you are running 28psi? Are you insane or on crack? You're in VA where we have a 1700 member Evo club yet you're running around at a boost level that may have already killed your engine? What in the world?
I don't understand your explanation about boost releasing, but that shouldn't have made you think the BOV suddenly stopped working. You need to get your car to a shop that knows what it's doing and have them unscrew your car before you destroy everything. If you're close enough to NOVA, then go to VIP Garage...

Definitely back off the boost. Do a leak test, but when you do it leave the vacuum line connected to the nipple on the BOV. I have the IX BOV and found out if you disconnect the vacuum line it will leak at about 5psi, if I leave it connected it holds all the way to my 25psi test pressure.

That's because you shouldn't even be considering an alky kit until you learn some basics and have your car looked at by an expert. Do you not realize that 28psi is insanely high for pump gas and the stock fuel pump? As gsrboi said, your car is currently a ticking time bomb. You act as if you couldn't care less...

what is a good boost to turn it down too. Also i am not running the 28 psi through all the gears. I said early i only get a spike to 28 in fifth gear for just a second.
