This is something that I also observed. In my 04 RS(w/o wing) I was averaging 280 to 300 miles to tank but in my 06 SE (w/ wing) I amue averaging 260 to 280. Guess I was'nt imaging it... But then again my IX is stronger and faster!

I get 240-260 per tank ( 13 gal fillup ) on winter blend and 260-280 on summer blend . Both 93 octane.

That is in Atlanta city driving shifting at 3-4K on my 05 MR . It gets 270-290 on the same 13 gal strictly interstate at ~70 mph.

Goes down RAPIDLY when testing and tuning or autoxing

Where does everyone shift?

I got 201 miles on my last tank, and filled up with 12.088 gallons....works out to about 16.7 mpg...not so good.

And I only got on it really good 1 or 2 time.

I usually shift at like 3K, is that to low?

Mostly, I shift at 4500-6500RPM after the car is warmed-up. I get 17-19MPG (~90% city driving), boosting all the time, running at WOT at every opportunity, and almost never dipping below 3500RPM.

This may be due to a lack of throttle control. Even minute variations in throttle pressure have a great impact on MPG. You may also want to have a look at the tire pressures. Is your car modded?

YES!! The Evo doesn't even begin to show its stuff until 3500-4000RPM.

Car is stock. Just got it 2 weeks ago (used). I'll check tire pressures, and start shifting at higher rpm's, i've tried to be consistent with the throttle, but coming from a car with cruise control, it can be hard.

Shifting at higher revs won't do much for your MPG, but tires pressures and throttle control will. Good luck.

Edit: as you purchased the car used, it may have been modded and then put back to stock. If it were flashed, that may have an effect, given the stock components. You may want to have your dealer re-flash it with a factory map just to be safe.

I've seen up to 27 mpg(thats being easy on it on the highway) Most of my driving is city and that averages about 23-24 mpg.

I drive mostly highway and i did notice a difference from when i had stock trunk with high wing versus carbon trunk on wing it was about 15-20 miles difference...

I average around 270-280 with the wing and w/o it was 300 range...

i drive about 100 miles a day around trip
