I bought mine as a weekend toy, so yes it's been in the garage since October. I get a company car to drive (all I have to pay for is gas), so there's really no reason to take the Evo out during inclement weather. I save money on gas, insurance, wheels/tires (no need to buy dedicated ones for the winter). Not to mention the fact that it doesn't get covered in salt and road debris.
Plus, during the summer I'm constantly cleaning my car because I can't stand to see her with even a little amount of dirt. Winter would just drive me crazy!

I just don't get those people who buy those cars as weekend toys. I can't imagine driving anything else. Cheap, flashy, in your eye, outaccelerating almost anyone, outbraking anyone, bright xenons piercing everybodys eyes, exhaust deafening everybodys ears. Tailgating, cutting off, intimidating and carving your way through traffic. Owning the road. How can you drive a company hybrid??

Well in 2 years of having the hybrid it has racked up 116,000 miles so I drive alot the company pays for it they don't pay for gas to put in the evo. Also tailgating, cutting off, and being a jerk in traffic doesnt excite me.

I already stated that I do garage my car for the winter. The way i see it, its a waste of the evo to use it to commute in city traffic on city roads where there is salt and huge muthrfkn potholes and such. It should be used for spirited driving and track days, or at least "pleasurable” driving experiences. The wear and tear that stop and go city driving causes IMHO will kill the evo and greatly reduce its longevity which will take away from what I believe the car should be used for. But, to each his own as its your money.

I'm not sure why people think the Evo is great in the winter. An AWD Audi or Lexus is like a million times better in the snow and ice than an Evo. My lady's front driver is far superior to the Evo in the snow. Unless you have blizzaks and 200 lbs of sand in your trunk or studded tires or chains for your Evo, your Evo will pretty much suck in winter weather.
