FRONT MOTOR MOUNT installed

I just installed a polyeutharine motor mount insert and an authority short shifter. The mount was a pain in the butt to install because i had to bang at the stock one with a hammer and chizzle.

I was having trouble shifting 1-2 before, but now I can say that the shifting is much better. I still think that it needs to be a little more solid because I shift really fast and sometimes it is still not letting me shift really really hard 1-2.

What do you guys think I should do to further improve this? Engine dampner?

Try not shifting hard, it is really very very bad for your synchro's. Shift fast, but do not jam the shifter into gear with excessive force.

That makes sense. I just dont want the my first half of the 1/4 to be affected by this 1-2. I know with the stock mount I had to baby it in gear.

With the poly mount I can actually shifter much faster and smoother, but for some reason it is still a lot of load coming off too quick. Maybe it is my clutch as well. I have the ACT 6 puck Extreme.

Do I have to shift lighting fast 1-2 to get a good 1/8 to better my 1/4 mile time?

if you buy some they come with instructions it is an easy install. the are located approximatley on the corner of the engine that is closest to the driver seat. about 1/3 - 1/2 way down the engine block. if my memory serves me correctly

Yeah I had shifter under hood and in cabin bushing from Lancershop. They preety good. Shifter feels way better than stock bushings. I will say go with short shifter too. That is what I did on mine.

hey actually my zaklee underhood shifter bushings came in today, and they came w/ instructions, so i installed them and was really easy, the shifter bushings are right behind the battery, and they helped my 3-4 shift a little

also, my powerflex front motor mount also came in and installed that too, also easy install except the part where you take out stock bushing... kinda helped

finally, i have shifter base bushings comin in too cuz my 2-3 and 3-4 shifts are hard as hell!! so hopefully these 3 shifter mods will help, if not, call tre for a tranny rebuild
