I just noticed that my fuel tank, where you stick the gas nozzle, doesn't have the metal flap while my buddy's evo does... Does all evo have one and mine is missing? Or does some have it and some don't?

i know our dodge ram doesnt cuz i just filled it up a few mins ago(66 bucks )

Mine doesnt have one either. I looked at it one day when I was filling up and was like oh **** did the flap come off and fall into the tank. In fact Im still wondering that to this day.

That's the first thing I noticed with my evo. It never had one since the first fill up.

Yeah, that's what i was afraid of ...of it falling into the tank and causing problems.

If you have racing gas pumps like here in NC, you have to remove the metal flap to get the bigger nozzle in without the gas splashing back....

If the metal did fall off, which im pretty sure it didnt it wont cause any problems. it will sink to the bottom of the tank and stay there! Its not like the fuel pump can pick it up

I know Mine has it, also I found something interesting. The 89 octane pump nozzel is bigger than the 91 and 93 pump nozzels, the guy at the pump tried to put 89 in my car and he was like Hey it doesn't fit. I told him use 93 not 89 what a loser.

The still have full service stations? If I asked someone around here to do it they'd look at me like I was a fool.

BTW. My 9 MR does not have a flap.
